OPPORTUNITY TO SPONSOR Elementary, MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AT WETATi Academy JUNE 2024 ENTREPRENEURSHIP CONVENTION, DUREKE iDEA PITCH COMPETITION, WOMEN EMPOWERED SEMINAR (WES), SCHOLARSHIP & AWARDS GALA
The WETATi Academy Center for Creative Thinking, Leadership and Entrepreneurship, located at, and in partnership with, the Nyumburu Cultural Center at the University of Maryland, College Park, invites you to sponsor one or more low- or middle-income elementary, middle or high school students to attend and participate in our 2024 convention.
WETATi Academy mission is to educate and empower the youth, students and the next generation about the importance of creating their own opportunities through a mindset shift and changing their narrative from a job seeking to an entrepreneurship mentality. We’re working with several local elementary, middle and high schools to accomplish this goal. WETATi Academy 2024 Entrepreneurship Business Convention and Dureke iDEA Pitch Competition will give aspiring entrepreneurs an opportunity to pitch their business ideas to the public, investors and judges on June 8th, 2024. WETATi Academy will award the winners on June 15th, 2024 during the in-person WETATi Academy Anne Reese Carswell Scholarship & Awards Gala.
Attendance at WETATi Academy In-Person 2024 Entrepreneurship Business Convention and the Dureke iDEA Pitch Competition on June 8th, 2024 is FREE to student sponsors!
Sponsor a Student Options:
- Sponsor student(s) to attend the Women Empowered Seminar(WES) on June 15th, 9AM-11:30AM located at the Adele Stamp Student Union, Colony Ballroom at University of Maryland College Park
A contribution of $55 will sponsor one student to attend the convention. For example:
Sponsor 5 students to attend the event. ($275 + processing fee)
Sponsor 4 students to attend the event. ($220 + processing fee)
Sponsor 3 students to attend the event. ($165 + processing fee)
Sponsor 2 students to attend the event. ($110 + processing fee)
Sponsor 1 student to attend the event. ($55 + processing fee)

- Sponsor student(s) to attend the WETATi-Anne Reese Carswell Scholarship & Awards Gala on June 15th, 6PM-10PM located at the Adele Stamp Student Union, Colony Ballroom at University of Maryland College Park
A contribution of $75 will sponsor one student to attend the convention. For example:
Sponsor 5 students to attend the event. ($375 + processing fee)
Sponsor 4 students to attend the event. ($300 + processing fee)
Sponsor 3 students to attend the event. ($225 + processing fee)
Sponsor 2 students to attend the event. ($150 + processing fee)
Sponsor 1 student to attend the event. ($75 + processing fee)
