Once a year, we have our annual two day convention where we bring at the University of Maryland College Park a stellar event that culminates with a full first day of practical entrepreneurship education speakers/presenters, industry exhibitors, colleges and universities’ students from near and far, business, political leaders and the general public. This convention brings about 1900 plus people together during the two days and with heavy impact on showcasing the work we have done to that point and where we are intending to sustain and focus going forward. The first day entails, entrepreneurship education, entrepreneurship competition for both the K-12 and college students’ business idea pitch, market place showcase. Our Youth entrepreneur Keynoter Speaker and award was a Shark Tank Entrepreneur Makaila Ulmer. The second is the show case of impact: WETATi-Anne Reese Scholarship and awards gala, where we give award to those who have achieved the impossible, the competition winners receive their grants money and trophies; students form area schools receive scholarships. The program ends with renewed commitment from those in attendance going forward, as we develop yesterday, Act today to endure tomorrow.
