Students will engage in an academic year long after-school program geared towards creating economic and entrepreneurship opportunities. This program covers everything from traditional classroom concepts to practical experiential learning. We pride ourselves on candidly teaching all the how to’s for the entrepreneur and the entrepreneurial employee mindsets. From reintroducing the basics like how to start a business, making multiple streams of income, becoming financially literate and independent, to introducing the new basics such as STEMPreneurs, strength tenacity, and workforce development. All our courses are taught by our strategic business partners such ‘as University of Maryland and Chick-Fil-A. Upon completion, students will receive a certification of completion at their respective levels. Also, at the end of an accredited academic term students will receive a certification in their area of aptitude: entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial employee.
At the end of each academic year students have the opportunity to participate in the Annual Entrepreneurship Convention, Dureke iDEA Pitch Competition with the aim of achieving our vision of Why We Work:
